HABC LEVEL 2 INTERNATIONAL AWARD IN EMERGENCY FIRST AID DEFIBRILLATION AND CPR COURSE OVERVIEW
The Level 2 International Award in Emergency First Aid at Work is a qualification aimed at providing learners with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to support emergency first aid in the workplace. The HABC Level 2 International Award in Emergency First Aid at Work is accredited and recognized internationally and has been developed to protect customers, brand reputation and profits.
Who Should Attend?
This qualification is recommended for candidates who wish to understand basic first aid in the workplace and who also have access to a defibrillator.
Course Duration
This qualification is usually achieved by taking a one-day (6 hours) classroom-based course.
Course Content
- The Emergency first aid training course covers:
- Understanding the roles and responsibilities of the first aider
- Know how to assess an emergency situation safely
- Managing an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
- Managing an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Recognising and assisting a casualty with a minor injury
- Managing a casualty with minor burns and scalds
- Managing a casualty who is in shock
- Recognising anaphylaxis
- Treatment for bone, joint and muscle injuries
- Head and spinal injuries
- Managing a casualty with asthma.
Assessment
This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.
